Is $20,000 to install luxury vinyl plank flooring a fair price?
Project Details
I recently had luxury vinyl plank flooring installed and have serious concerns about the workmanship, especially around the door frames and trim. The contractor initially installed quarter round molding, which looked off with visible gaps and awkward corner cuts. After I expressed concerns, they removed the quarter rounds and caulked the gaps with a dark brown caulk that looks terrible and stands out sharply. Some cuts around corners also look rough, and I don't feel the attention to detail matches the $20,000 price point. I'm a first-time homebuyer and am seeking feedback on whether this workmanship is acceptable.
