Is $1,000 to replace an AC capacitor a fair price?
Project Details
My AC went down over the weekend. I had done some initial troubleshooting and was about 60% sure it was a capacitor. The outside unit was not kicking on, only a low hum, while the inside unit was running but blowing warm air. I am happy with the work and the technician, but I feel the almost $1000 bill for a capacitor replacement, even on a Sunday, is very high.
