Is $3,000 to encapsulate asbestos duct boots and main trunk a fair price?
Project Details
My 1948 home has asbestos duct boots and a main trunk. It's a small 820 sq foot home with roughly 600 sq ft of attic space. I am about to pay to get fiberglass insulation blown in to R49. The attic is enclosed, and I won't ever be up in it. I'm considering doing a $100 encapsulation DIY carefully instead of paying for professional remediation.
