Is $7,000 to clean out, remove old insulation, air seal, and install R40 cellulose insulation with an insulated attic stair cover a fair price?
Project Details
I have a 1960 brick ranch, 1150 sq ft in metro Atlanta. I currently have fiberglass insulation, which is at 1/3rd its original levels and from the early 90s. My house is far too cold in winter and does not retain heat. I prefer to replace the insulation because the existing material has had some rodent activity, and I want to ensure any gaps are sealed before adding new insulation.
