Is $8,244 to install blown-in cellulose insulation to improve R-value to R-49 a fair price?
Project Details
My existing insulation was minimal (~2 inches), causing the upper level of my split-level home (which I bought earlier this year) to be hot. I usually get multiple quotes, but I accepted a 'sign now' discount, which lowered the price by about $2k from the original $11k offer. I plan to utilize tax rebates this year and next, expecting about $2400 back in tax credits, and I have 12 months to pay for it.
