Is $9,999 to upgrade kitchen counters, backsplash, sink, and hardware a fair price?
Project Details
I decided against a full kitchen gut/replace, which would have cost around $50,000, opting instead for a sub-$10,000 upgrade. While I don't love the honey oak cabinetry, it's throughout the house, and I don't hate it enough to justify the expense of replacing it all. The old overmount sink was quite dirty when removed.
Quote Details
This budget-friendly kitchen upgrade focused on key visual and functional elements without a full renovation. The project included: - Vented hood fan: Replaced existing recirculating fan with a new vented model. - Hardware: New black hinges and handles installed. - Counters: Quartz countertops with no visible seams. A piece of scrap quartz was utilized for the window sill, eliminating the need for retiling. - Sink: New 60/40 split sink. - Faucet: New faucet installed. - Backsplash: New subway tile backsplash.
