Is $1,180 to tee off of an existing natural gas line to install a space heater a fair price?

I'm renovating my attached garage to turn it into a home gym and would like to add a small wall mounted heater for the winter. The kitchen stove is directly on the other side of the interior wall from where the heater will be installed. The garage is 250 sq ft.
