Is $4,500 to install a metal roof over existing shingles a fair price?
Project Details
I'm trying to figure out the best way forward for putting a new roof on my family's 1950s cabin. The existing roof is not dire but needs to be replaced in the next few years. This quote was half of the others we received, which seems like a red flag to me, but other family members want to save money. The whole quote was around $4500, which is what raised such red flags in the first place. The cabin is in a LCOL area.
