Is $35,000 to remove and reinstall solar panels a fair price?
Project Details
My roof needs repairs due to recent storms, but it still has about eight years of life left. I contacted the company I bought my solar panels from to understand the process and cost of removing and reinstalling them when I eventually replace the whole roof, as I don't want to void the panel warranty. Although the representative quoted me for removing all panels, I only need the top tier removed. My roofing company quoted $5,700 for roof work, which is much cheaper than the solar company's quote for panel R&R. I also learned that the solar company has changed its name.
