Is $8,000 to remove and reinstall an 18-module LG NEoN2 310W solar array a fair price?
Project Details
I have to get my roof replaced, which necessitates the removal of my existing 18x LG NEoN2 310W solar array. The system was installed in 2016. I'm pretty sure that it would have to adhere to newer setback requirements when reinstalled, which would cost me at least 5 modules. I've made peace with the idea of not reinstalling a ten-year-old system, as I believe I've reached ROI. I'm currently conflicted about whether to keep or dispose of the modules due to lack of storage space and a desire not to waste them. My AHJ won't allow electrical permits to be pulled by non-electricians, including homeowners, and I lack the equipment and physical acumen to work on the roof myself.
