Is $4,000 to repair squirrel damage to solar panels and install guard a fair price?

Project Details

My solar system stopped working completely because squirrels chewed the wires under the panels. The system is 4.07 kW with 11 panels and was installed in 2023. I am concerned that finding another company for repairs might void the warranty. My homeowner insurance does not cover pest damage. I wish I had known about the squirrel problem during installation, as the company didn't mention it and it didn't come up in my research.
